This so called survey shows one product manufactured by Monaco (the Safari) and nothing for Newmar or Winnebago
I don't see where Bill's post couldn't be the case for Class A's. Winnebago is or at least has been the #1 RV manufacturer, but not necessarily the #1 Class A manufacturer.

Although this is no help for your problem, I agree with "Gregg C," this awning is a joke. Because I have a slide out on the curb side, the WX Pro awning is mounted so high up that it doesn't do anything for you when it's extended. If and when mine goes the wayside I'm replacing it with a Carefree and it will be mounted to the slide, not on top of the roof.

Ask yourself why the car makers have not snapped up this technology, that's been around for many years, instead of spending millions every year on minuscule improvements to stay under the government set CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) numbers?
It's pretty obvious the car makers build their cars to hit the CAFE requirements. Seldom do they, or will they, go beyond these rules. To prove it, back in the early 80's there were cars available that had mileages in the upper 30's in miles per gallon. Case in point we had a 1981 Honda that could easily hit 38 to 39 mpg and that was with your foot in it. If you cruised more carefully it would get 40 to 41. Now a Honda is lucky to get 35 mpg.
In 1997 we bought a new a '96 Chrysler LHS, which is a large car with a 3.9 Litre V6 that has quite abit of power for this size car, and yet it still gets 30 to 32 mpg if you drive sensibly.

Depending on your coach model, you could have a filler neck that holds a gallon or more of gas. I know since mine is a long neck, at least 5 feet in length maybe 6, it holds a little over a gallon of fuel. So if my tank were completely empty I could get almost 77 gallons in.
Although even when mine does show about a 1/4 tank on the gauge I've never put 70 gallons in it. The most gas I've put in mine was 69.5 gallons. I've kept track of every gas purchase I've had since I've owned the moho.

Having owned a fleetwood product and having a lot of problems with it I can't see where Beaudry is "losing anything" I certainly agree with your analogy.
With the problems I've had with my Fleetwood and doing a lot of the repairs myself the quality of their work is a joke. Also, having toured the Riverside, CA. Fleetwood factory I can see why Fleetwood's quality is what it is.

Why do you say Delorme Street Atlas "does not" have campgrounds on it? The one I have definitely has campgrounds. To see them you must be zoomed in quite abit, but if you have a route you can search for campgrounds along the route. Likewise if you place the cursor at a particular point, then do a search and tell it to search for campgrounds within so many miles, it will do just that and list the ones that fall into your criteria.
It may not have all campgrounds, but none of the mapping programs list every possible campground there is. I've tried MS Streets & Trips also, and between it and Delorme some of them have the same ones that show up and some that do not.

I really question your theory, especially right now with the economy the way it is. I was at Camping World the other day and for the most part they said they have haven't sold anything, new or used for sometime now. They also don't really want to take any trades because they can't get rid of the used ones they've got.
Likewise have you checked the web sites that sell used motorhomes? They're filled to the gills with choices. Some are dealers, some are wholesalers and many are private sellers. And, the deals are unbelievable.
I certainly don't see where there's any shortages.

I too have had a bunch of screws loosen and fall out. It's probably not just Fleetwood, but I can't believe they use so many sheet metal screws for assembly. They should come up with something better, because you can't keep a sheet metal screw from coming loose, especially in something that moves and jiggles like a vehicle. How many sheet metal screws do you see in an automobile? Some of course, but if you notice they usually aren't used where they are mounted upside down.

Which Colorado did you buy? Is it two wheel drive or four wheel drive? If it's two wheel drive you'll need a drive shaft disconnect from Remco. If it's four wheel drive you can just move the transfer case to neutral.
Since the Colorado is a bit on the heavy side, especially if it's four wheel drive you should definitely consider a brake system. There's a gazillion thoughts to which brake system. Do a search on brake systems and you'll get all kinds of recommendations to which one you should buy. Same thing with tow bars.

RE: Sticky Gel to keep items still in RV

You might try one of the Hobby Shops like Hobby Lobby or Michaels'. They have some type of Rubber Glue that applies a sticky substance on the bottom of your items. I'm not talking about regular "Rubber Glue" the stuff I'm referring to is similar, if not the same, as the glue you see when they send you a new credit card that's pasted on a piece of paper. You can peel the credit card off and the glue stays on the paper, but you can also peel the glue off the paper without tearing the paper.

Disregard my post on finding the relay. After a long persistant afternoon of checking about everything I found the horn relay. Even harder was finding the wires that routed to the horns.
After all that the problem ended up being the horns themselves. I was able to disassemble them and fix the problem. Everythings working fine now.

Fleetwood Pace Arrow Roof Horns

I have a 2004 Pace Arrow with the electric simulated air horns. They quit working and I'm having trouble tracing the wiring to find out where they get their power. When they were working, they functioned along with the regular horns when pressing the steering wheel horn button. I've been trying to find the horn relay without luck. I figure maybe this is where Fleetwood attached the roof horn electric feed.
Has anyone ran into this, and/or know where the horn relay is on this make/model of moho?
Any help will be appreciated.

I too was thinking of installing either a Wineguard or MotoSat. I was looking at not only cost, but weight and size. To my surprise the MotoSat, although a bit more expensive was smaller and lighter then the Wineguard.

Any chance you would be more specific about the quality of their work? The couple I have been in seemed to have nice quality cabinets and the craftsmanship seemed good. Did you have problem with electrical? Plumbing? Other systems? Just curious.....thanks
I'll agree in part with some of the others, some things in the Fleetwood are top notch. Like their woodwork regarding cabinets, etc. Overhead cabinets are attached solidly to the overheads, etc. Other areas, for example the outside cabinet doors and seals are crap. On mine most of the seals don't even contact the inner surface when their latched, and I've seen the same thing on some of their diesel models, with the exception of the high-end diesels. They use cheap China made black plastic latches to hold the doors closed. I've had to replace almost everyone of them, some twice. Winnebago also uses plastic for these latches, but at least it's high impact automotive white plastic. Their undercoating is limited and the paint in areas like the water/electric bay is very poor. It takes no-time for the paint to start flaking and rust to build up. The metal wasn't even primered prior to painting. You asked about Plumbing, the water pump hadn't worked correctly since new. I had it back to the dealer three times, they replaced the pump once. Ended up it was because Fleetwood mounted the water pump upside down because of space. It stipulated right on the pump do not mount with the pump in this way. I fixed it myself.
I went through both the Fleetwood factory tour in Riverside, CA and the Winnebago factory tour in Forest City, IA and there's no comparison. Winnebago is years ahead of Fleetwood in process and quality.

I agree totally with you "Phillerup", however, I think the reason for Workhorse's problems are because of it being a new chassis building company. Although the internet wasn't around at the time, I'm sure if it were and owners were posting then like they are now we would have found similar issues with Ford, Spartan, Freightliner, and the many other chassis manufacturer's. They've had years to work out issues that probably existed. In time, if Workhorse doesn't go broke, their chassis' will probably be on a par with the others.
Don't get me wrong, I for one am not happy with Workhorse either. If, and when, we ever purchase another moho it's definitely going to be a diesel. Just because, in my opinion, the gas engines and drive trains are not up to par for the size motorhomes their putting on them.

We also have the WX Pro and like most others have said ours has never really worked correctly either. I noticed a few times when the wind gusts come up and billows the awning up in the air the idiots at Fleetwood mounted the sensor so that when the awning is billowed up it blocks the wind from the sensor. How smart is that?
Also, I received the mailer from Dometic that shows you how to install the A&E WeatherPro Wind Sensor Retrofit Kit # 3309743.007 which is the small decal that apparently reflects the sun off the sensor to keep it from heating up and affecting the sensor. I'm surprised this makes any difference because the sensor itself is white, which is one of the best heat deflectors there is.
Besides the fact, I haven't found anyone that can get me the kit. Since Dometic says they don't deal directly with the public I have to go through a dealer. So I've called two or three "dealers" and nobody has the kit.

Don't let anyone kid you about the winter nights in southern New Mexico and the Arizona desert. At least during January and early February the nights can definitely get down in the low thirties. Granted their not usually hard freezes, but unless you have good heating you may not want to leave, at least, the far south Texas area. As you probably know it can get cold their also, but not nearly as cold as Arizona and New Mexico.

I agree with Sully2... the only thing that Workhorse builds is the steel chassis itself, and of course the wiring that goes into the chassis. I think there's been a few cases where the wiring, connectors most likely, have caused some problems. However, I haven't heard of one Workhorse steel chassis failing. A couple of years ago I did hear about a Roadmaster chassis (built by Monaco) actually cracking and causing major problems for the owner.
Personally I believe the coach manufacturers are more of a problem then the chassis manufacturer's are. My coach for example is definitely too heavy for the engine's power and torque. In my view a coach with three or or more slides, or anything beyond 33 or 35 foot length, makes for too heavy of a vehicle to expect even a large cubic inch gasoline powered V8 engine to pull it with any expectations. With the exception if you live and only drive this much coach at lower altitudes and on reasonably level ground.
I made the mistake of buying one and drive it in Colorado at elevations above 6,500 feet. It's known that a gas engine loses (I believe it's) 3% of it's horsepower for every 1,000 feet elevation. So guess where that leaves my engine. Even more on a hot summer day.

I recently ordered one and installed it a few days ago for the very reason you are talking about. You can also call them at 800-536-4995. They are very helpful and can explain anything you might want to know.
